An angry demonstration occurred outside the Communist Party rooms in Sydney last night when about 1000 people, including large numbers of soldiers, sailors and Air Force men. attempted to storm the building. Police, standing shoulder to shoulder across the doorway, prevented the soldiers, sailors and Air Force men from entering. Stones were thrown at lighted windows and those in the building later filed out under the protection of the police and members of the Provost Corps. ' The demonstration appeared to be the culmination of anti-Communist feeling which first became evident at the Domain yesterday afternoon. A soldier, who is alleged to have been attacked with a hammer, was admitted to hospital. No arrests were made.
