N.Z. RUGBY SUCCESS

Anti-Tank Unit Beats Aidershot Onlted Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright LONDON. April 7. There was a characteristic All Blacks background when the New Zealand Anti-tank Unit played the Aidershot Command, winning by 13 points to 8. The match began after thp famous war cry. The High Commissioner for New Zealand iMr W. J. Jordan) was present and many members of the New Zealand unit, bunched among the spectators, kept up a refreshing and frank running commentary. The whole side played hard, keen football reminiscent of the great All Blacks' play seen here in the past. The outstanding players were Coombe, Cutbush, and Francis. A penalty goal for the Aidershot Command came 15 minutes after the start. The New Zealanders, within two minutes responded, and took the lead which the Adlershot Command regained and then again lost. The score at half-time was: New Zealand Antitank Unit 10, Aidershot Command 8. The second half was less interesting, though Cutbush frequently showed himself a fine player. The only further score came towards the end when Coombe kicked a penalty goal giving New Zealand victory by 13 points to eight.
