ARUNDEL
WOMEN’S INSTITUTE At the monthly meeting of the Arundel Women's Institute, Mrs Acland presided. Members stood in silence as a mark of respect to the late Prime Minister. Mrs Acland and Miss Galletly were appointed delegates to attend the Federation meeting at Pleasant Point. Mrs A. C. Brown of Geraldine gave a talk on London before the war and after. Hostesses for the day were members of the committee. PERSONAL Miss Gwen Stickings, Wellington, who was the guest of Mrs J. Lewis, has returned home accompanied by Mr Ivan Lewis. Mr and Mrs R. F. Gillespie, Balfour, are the guests of Miss, A. Fraser, “The Triangle.” Mr and Mrs E. Matheson have returned from a tour of the Southern Lakes.
