Bahrein Reaffirms Loyalty The loyalty of the State of Bahrein, on the Persian Gulf, was expressed by the Sheik of Bahrein in a speech at the seventh anniversary of his accession. One man had set the world alight, and that man was Hitler, he said. Bahrein Lad stood under Britain's protection for a hundred and fifty years without losing her independence. Britain's war was her war, and all that Bahrein had was Britain’s.
