Anti-Semitic Leader Arrested United Press ‘ Aesoclatlon—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright (Received February 11, 7.30 p.m.) WASHINGTON, February 10. William D. Pelley, the anti-semitic silver shirt leader, was arrested at the conclusion of a week’s testimony before the Dies Committee on a charge of violating the good behaviour proviso in a suspended gaol sentence Imposed for stock frauds in North Carolina. The committee accused Pelley of “fulsomely praising Hitler and advocating a dictatorship, vigilantism and the segregation of the Jews.”
