BULLS THAT BUTT
HALTERS WITH A SHOCK New inventions patented recently in London include:— A halter, fitted with a battery, to give bulls, cows and goats an electric shock if they try to butt. An electric eye, that automatically records the attendance of visitors at an exhibition stall. A ploughshare that can be replaced when blunt, on the principle of a safety razor blade.
A device for softening and spreading butter.
Ink which changes colour under the influence of steam. If used on the flap of an envelope it shows whether an attempt has been made to steam open the envelope. Automatic roller-skate boots with the rear axles on skates connected to a small motor carried in a satchel on the back.
