LATE SPORTING
AJAX AND HIGH CASTE TO MEET United Press Association—By Electric Tel egraph—Copyrigh t .(Received February 8, 11.55 p.m.) MELBOURNE, February 8. The Williamstown races next Saturday will be noteworthy owing to the meeting of Ajax and High Caste in the C. F. Orr Stakes. There is considerable speculation as to whether the Victorian champion, whose health now is reported to be good, will triumph over the former New Zealander.
Acceptances for the Orr Stakes are: Ajax 9.5, Manrico 8.13, Adios 8.5. Maikai 8.5, High Caste 8.2, Landlaw 8.0, Reading 7.13, Amiable 7.10. Kanuri 7.9, Magic Circle 7.8, The Albatross 7.3, French Legion 7.0.
