Pan-American Airways announces that the Civil Aeronautical Authority’s trial examiner recommended granting permission for the San Francisco-New Zealand service. The senice still awaits the approval of the Authority and then that of President Roosevelt. The announcement said that PanAmerican Airways were not able to indicate even an approximate date of starting the service, which will be fortnight at first, then weekly, by 72-passenger flying-boats.
