The formation commences at the cutting on the Fairlie side of the deviation. The road on the detour has been in good order and the ford is fairly low. STORMY WEATHER Cold nor’-westers bringing rain and snow in the hills continued to blow on Wednesday night and yesterday. During the night there were some heavy showers of rain and yesterday morning the tops of the hills were liberally coated with snow which remained on them throughout the day. Almost every time it has rained since Christmas the tops of the hills have been lightly covered with snow.
