To-morrow’s Special Sports Exhibition Discus Throw Entries totalling 115, have been received from all parts of South Canterbury for the athletic events at the Waimate Amateur Athletic Club’s special sports meeting to-morrow evening. at which the touring Australian cyclists and champion Canterbury riders will appear. An additional attraction will be an exhibition discus throw by A. E. Redmond, who has represented Hawke’s Bay, Auckland and Canterbury at New Zealand championships. Redmond threw the discus 121 ft Ilin at Timaru and last year the New Zealand championship was won with 120 feet. Handicaps have been declared by Mr A. W. Hewson has returned from a holiday spent in the North Island. Mr and Mrs I. Schrader are on a motor tour to Nelson. Mr C. Wallace, Leonard Street, has returned home after visiting his sisters in North Canterbury. Mr R. Cameron left yesterday to spend a holiday in the North Island, has beten visiting Christchurch, has Mrs G. Hewson, High Street, who returned home. Miss J. McKellar has returned from a holiday vist to Wellington and Nelson. Mr and Mrs J. A. Lash, who have been on a motor tour in the Nelson district, have returned home. Miss J. Nalder, who has been the guest of Mrs G. Ruddenklau, "The Valley,” returned to Waimate during the week-end.

Mr and Mrs W. Shrimpton, of New Plymouth, who have been spending a holiday in Waimate, will leave on their return journey to-day. The Clerk of the Court. Mr D. M. Webster, and Mrs Webster, have returned to Waimate after a holiday spent in Picton and Wellington. Mr P. W. J. Cockerill, who has been relieving during Mr Webster’s absence, returned to Timaru yesterday.
