POWDER WORKS EXPLOSION
G-Men Investigating United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright GIBBSTOWN (Pennsylvania), January 17. An explosion of 60001 b of nitroi glycerine destroyed a unit of the : Dupont powder works. ' An area of 50 miles was locked by the explosion, which shattered windows for 15 miles. Specially constructed units are Isolated. At least two were killed and two were injured. The company had posted 27 additional guards at the plant a fortnight ago as a precaution against sabotage. Two were killed and five were injured in the explosion. Dupont’s discount sabotage, but the Federal Bureau of Investigation is investigating. Explosions wrecked the plant three times in 1916, killing 18.
