WOMEN’S DIVISION

HAZELBURN BRANCH Members and friends of the Hazel - burn Women’s Division of the Farmers’ Union held a garden party at Mrs Wolff’s home. Excellent weather prevailed enabling those present to take full advantage of the delightful sursoundings. Mrs H. Blackler presented the president (Mrs Wolff) and the secretary with dainty posies. On behalf of the members Mrs O’Connell conveyed thanks to Mrs Wolff for the afternoon’s entertainment. Mrs Bruce spoke on behalf of the Skipton branch. A competition was won by Mrs H. Blackler. The young women’s race was won by Miss Ann Skipper and the children’s race by Owen Blackler and Des. O’Connell. Miss E. Glennie was the winner of the stepping competition. Ice cream and fruit salad were served at the conclusion of the afternoon.
