PLEASANT VALLEY

WELCOME TO DISTRICT An enjoyable evening was spent in the Pleasant Valley hall on Saturday evening when friends and relatives of Mr and Mrs R. Easterbrook attended a social and dance in their honour. Games and competitions were enjoyed and later in the evening Mr H. Hill welcomed Mrs R. Easterbrook to the district and in extending the good wishes of those present to the happy couple, presented them with a wallet of notes. Music for the dancing was supplied by Mr E. Evans and Miss Jean Fifield played an extra. Mr A. Blair was M.C. . PERSONAL Mrs J. Bagueley and children. Christchurch, arc the guests of Mrs H. Bailey. Miss M. Edgar, who has been visiting Mrs T. Masefield, Gapes Valley, has left for Albury.
