PERSONAL Mrs Middlemiss and Mrs Moralli, New Plymouth, who have been the guests of Mrs Harris for the Mitchel-more-Harris wedding, have returned home. j Miss Dora Gillespie, “Glenure," Balfour. is the guest of her sister. Miss Fern Gillespie, "The Triangle.” Mr G. Brown. Andersons Bay. is spending a holiday with Mr and Mrs N. Brown. Cooper’s Creek. Messrs D. and O. Pratt. Ashburton, who are spending a few days with their parents, Mr and Mrs H. Pratt. "Willowbank,” will leave at the end of the week for the North Island. CHRISTMAS PARTY A Christmas party was held in the Howard Hall under the auspices of the Women’s Institute and the School Committee. The first part of the evening took the form of an entertainment for the children. A gift from the Christmas tree was presented to each child by ‘Father Christmas.” The school prizes were also presented. After supper dancing was enjoyed by those . present. Mr E. Ambler sang a solo. Miss Joyce Brown and Mr D. Anderson were the winners of the lucky spot waltz. Among those present were: Mr and Mrs R. Johnston. Mr and Mrs J. Hewitt, Mr and Mrs A. Pithie. Mr and Mrs R. McLeod.
