THE CHURCHES

At St. Mary’s on Sunday Holy Communion will be celebrated at 8 a.m and 11 a.m. and the Archdeacon will be the preacher at 11 a.m. nd at evensong. The services in St. John’s Parish are advertised. The family se; and break-up of the Sunday S hod is at St. John’s at 11 a.m. At 2.30 p.m. on Sunday a children’s Christmas service will be held in Chalmers Church. Blair will preach. Service in connection with the closing session of the Sunday School in the afternoon at 2.30. The services at the Congregational Church will be conducted by G. Fowl r Ward, who will continue his talks on the Parables in the morning. The subject in the evening will be “Gold, Frankincense and Myrrh.” The preacher at St. Paul’s, Highfie. , will be the Rev. J. Baird. The services at Trinity Presbyterian Church will be conducted by the Rev. F. H. Wilkinson. A Christchurch musical service -»y i augmented choir will be given at Banks Street Church on Sunday * zening. The soloists will be Mrs W. I. Tait and Mr R. A. Holdgate. Adjutant and Mrs Ernest H.
