The annual cricket match between Christ’s College and Otago Boys’ High School commenced to-day in ideal conditions. When stumps were drawn the visitors were in a strong position. Batting first Christ's College made 199 (Rutherford 44, Monaghan 36, Morse 32, Wright 22 and Galloway 18). Partridge took 4 wickets for 68 runs, and Somerville 3 for 45. High School made 91 (Rennie 28. Partridge 15, Overton 12). McSweeney took 4 wickets for 24 runs, and Castle 3 for 23. The game will be concluded to-morrow. WAITAKI PLAYER MAKES 284 NOT OUT By lelegraph —Press Associniiun OAMARU, December 14. The annual cricket match between Waitaki an dthe Southland Boys’ High School was won by Waitaki by an innings and 111 runs. Waitaki declared with 445 for nine wickets, Maclntyre hitting up 284 not out. He scored his first century in 61 minutes. The second came in 136 minutes, the total of 284 occupying 193 minutes. Southland was dismissed for 235, Gilbertson being top scorer with 61 and in the follow-on were all out for 99. For Waitaki Miller took 7 wickets for 36 runs and 2 for 17 The annual match between St. Kevin’s College and John McGlashan College was won by McGlashan by 16 runs. St. Kevin’s made 120 and 123 and McGlashan 107 and 152. Fallow and McLean were the top scorers foist. Kevin's with 54 and 46 respectively. TEAMS FOR TO-MORROW Timaru v.
