At 2.30 p.m. to-morrow on the site 16 Park Lane, A. N. Oakey and Co. will submit to public auction under instructions from Mr H. Kent, his splendid residential property. As Mr Kent is leaving Timaru a low reserve has been fixed and immediate possession can be given. Full particulars appeared in last Saturday’s “Herald.” On Friday the annual ball of the Labour Party will be held in the Bay Hall. All present will have the opportunity of meeting the Hon. D. G. Sullivan and Mrs Sullivan. In accordance with the decision of a vote taken at the dance last week, the Timaru Harmonica Band announce the commencement of a novice waltzing competition to-night. H. The final social evening for the year is to be held at the Main School this evening, when the card aggregate will be decided, also the novice Hesitation waltz competition.
