WOMAN SENT TO GAOL
Listened To Foreign Broadcast United Press Association—By Electric Tel egraph—Copyright (Received November 21, 11.50 p.m.) LONDON, November 21. Tlie Rotterdam correspondent of “The Times” says that a Thuringian woman was sentenced to nine months’ imprisonment for listening to a foreign broadcast. The prosecutor emphasised that offenders against the order not to listen to foreign stations must be dealt with harshly with a view to deterring others. It was an offence to listen to a foreign station even if it was broadcasting music.
