W. Nash in a broadcast to-night. He said that since announcing the schedule of prices on Friday night information had been received from the British Government that the deduction from the basic purchase price was to be 5/- per cwt. for second grade creamery butter, instead of 6/as originally fixed. The basic purchase price is 112/6 per cwt. sterling f.o.b. A reference to the increase in prices to be paid for Australian cheese was also made by Mr Nash, who said it seemed that the prices New Zealand had obtained had resulted in an advantageous adjustment for Australia.
