ANNUAL BALL

SOUTIIBURN SPINSTERS AND BACHELORS The spinsters and bachelors held their annual ball last Friday evening in Mr W. Bell’s granary, which was decorated with green and yellow streamers. The grand march was led by the secretaries, Miss Audrey Gibson and Mr R. Kinross, the former wearing a fitting frock of red cloque and lace. The music for the dancing was supplied by a Timaru orchestra, while extras were played by Misses R. Chamberlain and M. Evans. Mr E. Evans made an efficient M.C. Novelty dances were won as follows: Monte Carlo waltz, Miss M. Ward and Mr D. Smith; race horse dance, Miss M. Evans and Mr E. Parry. Those present included:—Mr and Mrs D.
