AMERICAN FREIGHTER HELD UP
United Press Association—By Electric TGlegraph—Copyright (Received September 12, 6.30 p.m.) NEW YORK, September 11. A message from Mobile states that the American ireighter Wacosta radioed that she was stopped off Ireland by a German submarine and searched for contraband. She was detained for three hours. It is reported from New York that the British seized as contraband 600 barrels of rosin construed to Hamburg aboard the American freighter Warrior.
