FARMERS RESENT INCREASE By Telegraph—Press Association WANGANUI, June 22. farmers in country districts that telephone rental rates had been almost doubled, rising from £lO yearly to more than £lB. A protest is to be lodged with the Farmers’ Union, which will probably protest to the Government. Mr A. Fellow, Chief Postmaster at Wanganui, said that the country rates during the slump were reduced by 50 per cent, with a minimum of £lO. The latest increase was a return to the normal charge.
