CANNINGTON
YOUNG FARMERS’ CLUB Mr N. Crawford presided over the meeting of the Cannington Young Farmers’ Club. The evening took the form of a debate the subject being “Is topdressing a payable proposition?” The affirmative won by 34 points to 28. On the motion of Mr I. Little, Mr C. D. Hopkinson was accorded a vote of thanks for judging the debate. EUCHRE AND DANCE The committee of the Cannington School has commenced its fortnightly euchre parties in aid of school funds. The winners at the last evening were Mrs Thompson, Miss Harvey, Mr Harris and R. McKenzie. A short dance followed, music being supplied by Mr M. Cameron.
