OLD CLOTHES SHOP
ALL PROFITS FOR HOSPITALS
LONDON, March 25.
In the poorer parts of London shops devoted to the sale of secondhand clothes are not uncommon. One establishment to be found in Pimlico, is unusual. It is run by wealthy English society girls to help the poor, and all profits are given to hospitals. “We have been going only ten months,” said one of the girls. “Eventually we hope to make enough money to endow a ward in the new Prnicess Elizabeth of York Hospital for Children. “Last summer we were able to send £7O from the shop. All the clothes come from members and their friends and arrive every day. We sell literally anything.”
