ESK VALLEY
JUBILEE BALL As a wind-up to the diamond jubilee celebrations of the Esk Valley school a ball was held in Mrs A. M. Copland’s granary. Music was supplied by an orchestra assisted with extras by Mrs L. R. Bishop. Messrs E. Cosgrove and R. Morris were masters of ceremonies The lucky spot waltz was won by Miss I Winnie Lister and Mr J. Arnst. During the evening the chairman of the Jubilee Committee (Mr H. J. Stowell) expressed thanks to Mrs Copland for the use of the granary, to the ladies who had arranged the supper and to all those who had assisted towards the success of the evening.
