The Paris municipality has decided to construct eleven huge underground air raid shelters, virtually blockhouses, round Paris at a cost of £860.000. The shelters will accommodate hundreds of thousands. For instance, one shelter will accommodate ninety thousand and others from seventeen to twenty thousand.
