AMERICAN RESENTMENT AROUSED United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright (Received December 9, 5.5 p.m.) WASHINGTON, December 9. The State Department announced that the United States Ambassador to China (Mr Johnson) has been summoned home Immediately for consultation with President Roosevelt. Mr Johnson .however, -will shortly return to China. It is also disclosed that the American Embassy in Berlin informed the State Department that the German decree of December 3, ordering Jews to liquidate their wholesale business, will not exempt American Jews from the application. The State Department confirmed'.he report that the Embassy sent a Note to the German Government warning it against violation of American rights through the decree.
