’MIDST YORKSHIRE HILLS.— Situated in the midst of one of the most beautiful dales of Yorkshire, this one-time massive dwelling-place of the Nevilles is always an attraction for the tourist. The castle was begun in 1170 by Robert Fitzrandolph and the inner ward dates from the thirteenth century. It was the stronghold of the Earl of Warwick, the King-maker, and later became the favourite residence of King Richard III., who married Warwick's daughter.
