Mrs Barker received her guests wearing a frock of bui-rush brown georgette and lace, and Mrs Almond’s frock of black satin was made with bolero effect. The rooms were decorated with spring flowers and the supper table with yellow tulips. The guests included Mrs R. T. Turnbull, Mrs R. S. Goodman, Mrs G. Webster, Mrs M. A. Raymond, Mrs J. Temple, Mrs F. G. M. Raymond, Mrs J. M. Scott, Mrs H. Bannerman, Mrs G. Sumpter, Mrs G. Lawson, Mrs H. Coxhead.
Yesterday afternoon, Mrs R. D. King. Sefton Street, Mrs F. G. M. Raymond, Beverley Road, and Mrs R. T. Turnbull, Beverley Road, entertained Mrs Almond and her friends at a most enjoyable tennis party held at the Bay courts. Afternoon tea was served at Mrs R. T. Turnbull’s home in Beverley Road.
