YOUTH STOWS AWAY
PROBATION GRANTED Bv Telegraph—Press Association NEW PLYMOUTH, November 2. A youth named Michael John Kelly, aged 19 years, a farm hand, who stowed away on the Kaikorai, was brought before Mr W. H. Woodward, S.M., in the Police Court this morning, and admitted to probation for 12 months. He was also ordered to pay the sum of £7/10/-, the' amount of the fare from Australia to New Zealand. Accused hid himself in the bunkers on the Kaikorai at Port Kembla, New South Wales, on October 26. It was stated that work was amiable for him on a farm at Midhursi,
