PLANS MODIFIED

PROPOSED BROADCASTING CONSERVATORIUM By Telegraph —Press Association WELLINGTON. November 2. Apart from disclosing that the contract for the foundations of the projected broadcasting and conservatorium building to be erected on the site of the old museum building had been accepted, Mr James Shelley, director of National Broadcasting, in an interview said he was not yet prepared to disclose any details of the structure or the plans for the establishment of a Conservatorium. Mr Shelley said the plans would not be available for some time yet because original proposals were at present being modified. The architects for the building were Mr William M. Page and Mr Stanley W. Fern, in association. It is understood that the design of the building was placed in the hands of private architects, because the Government architectural branch of the Public Works Department has so much work on hand that the plans could not have been completed there as quickly as desired.
