INSULT OFFERED
DESECRATION OF MONUMENT TO WAR HERO (Received November 2. 6.30 p.m.) OTTAWA, November 2. A Brockville (Ontario) message says the Government ordered rigid investigation to-day into the Halloween desecration of the monument of General Brock, the hero of the 1812 war against the United States. A garbage can was placed over the General’s head and his chest was wrapped in corsets.
