DOMINION CHAMPION BROWN TRANSFERRED TO CHRISTCHURCH By Telegraph—Press Association AUCKLAND, November 2 Auckland tennis circles will suffer a loss by the departure for Christchurch next Monday of the present Dominion champion, A. D. Brown, whose father, Mr J. G. Brown, has been transferred from the Post Office Savings Bank, Auckland to Christchurch, and that means a move for the family. Brown has done exceptionally well since his arrival in Auckland six years ago from Wellington as a school boy who had just, left Wellington College. Last year he won every tournament he played in and that he topped off by taking the New Zealand title. Brown, who is now only 21 years of age, has just returned from a trip to England, which he made at his own expense to improve his game, and should prove a valuable acquisition to the tennis strength of the South Island.
