DANGEROUS DAYS IN PALESTINE Onlted Press Association— By Electric Telegraph -Cnpvtlent JERUSALEM, October 27. The Jewish Mayor of Tiberias, Zaki Alhadeff, was shot and seriously injured when entering the Anglo-Pales-tine Bank. Four bandits were killed while attempting to escape from a search by the military at Tirah, near Haifa. Notices posted in the Haifa mosques threaten anyone applying to the military authorities for a travel permit. A British officer and two soldiers were Injured by the explosion of a landmine on the Plains of Sharon. The body of a well-known Arab poet, and rebel leader, Ibrahim Abdullah, has been found at Tamra. Near the corpse were three rifles, two pistols, a banner and important documents.
It is presumed that he was killed in the mopping up operations at east Haifa on October 25.
