China Resolved to Fight On Japanese Casualties Increasing United Press Association—By Elwtric Telegraph—Copyright (Received October 28, 6.30 p.m.) LONDON, October 27 The Governors of Hunan, Szechuan and Yunnan provinces declare: “The country unanimously approves of the orderly evacuation of Wuhan in view of conserving military strength for prolonged warfare. “The conflict has entered a new state,” says the declaration, “in which China’s difficulties, though increased, will be far less than Japan’s.” The Governors urge able bodied persons not to evacuate their home towns, but to participate in armed defence of them. The Chinese report that over 100 students were killed in a bomb raid on a school in Northern Kwantung. Japan’s Heavy Losses Japan’s total casualties are computed at 75,000.
