The Duke of- Kent is expected to travel extensively in Australia during his term of tvo years as GovernorGeneral of Australia, and a special aeroplane will probably be placed at his disposal. Canberra will be the Duke's official headquarters The Duke of Kent to-day gave an audience to Mr S. M. Bruce (High Commissioner for Australia). GREEK COMMUNITY DELIGHTED DUKE OF KENT’S NEW POSITION United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph —Copyright (Received October 28, 11.33 p.m.) SYDNEY, October 28. The Greek community numbering 20,000 in Australia is intensely gratified at the news of the Duke of Kent's visit as Governor-General. Dr. J. Kocotakis, Consul General for Greece, speaking on behalf of his countrymen resident in Sydney, said: “Princess Marina has always been considered in Greece as our most charming Princess, and her coming to Australia has filled the hearts of my people with joy.” It is expected that many members of the Consular Corps will transfer their headquarters and many people, prominent in the social life of the community. will establish their residence in Canberra, prior to the Duke’s arrival, which will also compel extensive improvement to the Vice-regal accommodation in the capitol territory.
