UP-TO-DATE FARM IMPLEMENTS New Zealand-made farm machinery of the excellent quality like that manufactured by Booth Macdonald Ltd., must always be popular with New Zealand farmers. This machinery is made in New Zealand by New Zealand workmen, has proved itself to be durable and efficient, and the spare parts are always available at short notice. Amongst the latest additions to the already wide range of machinery manufactured by the firm of Booth Macdonald Ltd. are the quick detachable Row Crop cultivator, which is easily attached In a few minutes to all types of modern row crop tractors. With this tool it Is possible to cultivate between rows of growing crops and it is also able to mould up potato rows, or general cultivation in the paddock.

For heavier cultivation we recommend the Boothmac Cultivator. This is made in three sizes, 13, 15 and 17 tine. The special feature of this machine is that the tine bars are independent and will definitely keep in the ground and maintain their track. For the hay-making season we recommend farmers to inspect the new Aros mower, which is fitted with ball bearings and has oil-bath lubrication for the gears. This machine has been put to the severest test and has come through admirably. Other machines of Interest to farmers are the Boothmac No. 3 Power Press, the fourwheel hay sweep and the small tumbler sweep. All these machines have proved themselves great labour-savers in the hay-fields. The machine that Is appealing very much to users of modern hay-making machinery in many parts of New Zealand, and is well worthy of inspection, is the British-made Nicholson side-delivery rake and tedder. This machine is invaluable for turning over the cut hay so that it will dry quickly and evenly. The hay can then be stacked or baled with little loss to feed value. This Firm is also the sole New Zealand agent for the well-known MoffatVirtue patent ball-bearing shearing machine, and this machine is to be had in standard wall-plants and in specially made electric sets. There are numerous other lines manufactured in New Zealand by the firm of Booth Macdonald and Co., Ltd. Amongst those exhibited at the Show are automatic pressure pumping outfits, Macalister turnip machinery, and top-dresser; two, three, four and fivefurrow tractor ploughs, Including massive type for heavy work; tractor disc harrows and potato planters.
