THE GARDNER ONE-MAN WOOL PRESS

The advantages of the Gardner “One-Man” Wool Press were quickly appreciated by those who saw it operating at the Show. The Gardner “One-Man” Wool Press is constructed of steel, is light, strong and easy to handle. It enables one man to do everything in the woolshed himself, including picking-up, rolling, pressing and keeping the sheep up to two men with machines. The Press is ideal for small sheds as it takes up very little room, and being only one box, can be used in a shed with a low stud. Up to 4591 b of wool have been pressed and this could have been easily increased. Writing to the agents, one Canterbury sheep-farmer stated:— In reference to the Gardner OneMan Wool Press we purchased from you last year. We found that the Press was very satisfactory in every way, and are very pleased with it. One man did the pressing, penning up, and counting out for two shearers, as well as several other jobs about the shed. Having pressed 45 bales with it, we believe we have tested it sufficiently to be able to give an opinion. With these presses there is no top box—height overall 6ft 6in. Takes up little space in shed. Gives a neat bale with ample weight. Over 2500 Gardner Presses in use in Australia and New Zealand. 48in. and 42in. Presses available at same cost.
