Butchers has returned by the Mariposa. He is headmaster of the Correspondence School of the New Zealand Education Department. He said he did not feel at liberty to discuss the trip in detail, as he was presenting a report to the Department. He visited the departments of education in various States in America, and provinces in Canada., and also school; and universities. He had investigated the unification of the administration of control, systems of accrediting for university entrance, facilities for rural education, and methods of adult education.

He will leave by to-night’s Limited for Wellington.
