Ashburton: Half an inch of snow fell yesterday morning, the remainder of the day being cold and overcast with scattered light showers. Geraldine: Intermittent throughout the day; rainfall at "Waitui” 19pts. Temuka: Yesterday was overcast with intermittent showers. There was a strong south-westerly wind. The maximum temperature was 42 degrees and the minimum 29. Three degrees of frost were recorded. Overnight 16 points of rain fell.
