TRUCK HITS POLE
PASSENGER KILLED By Telegraph— Press Association AUCKLAND, July 13. Fatal head injuries were suffered by an employee of the Public Works Department, Conway Sinclaire, aged 63, of Avondale, while riding in a motor truck which skidded into an electric power pole on the Hobsonville Road. About a dozen men who had just ceased outside formation work at the Mangere aerodrome on account of the rain were travelling home in the truck driven by Robert John Hibbert. After travelling some distance from the aerodrome the truck met another vehicle on a corner, and it skidded oft the road into a power pole, causing Sinclaire to lurch and strike hi.s head.
