HOCKEY
INDIAN TEAM’S TOUR By Telegraph—Pres? Association GORE, July 13. Two thousand spectators were delighted with an excellent exhibition of hockey when the Indians defeated Eastern-Northern Southland 11-0 on a, frost affected ground. The play was fast and spectacular with the Indians practically in constant control of the ball. Little short of amazing was the manner in which the Indians controlled the ball at top speed. Time and again they went through the opposition. Fernandez and Lafit were the stars. The stick work and positional play of the Indians was vastly superior to that of the opposition, which put up a stubborn fight against doughty opponents. The Eastern goalkeeper kept the score down, although at times the Indians could have increased the total.
