Jordan) and Mrs Jordan gave a reception in the Maylair Hotel at which four him dree people were present, chiefly visiting New Zealanders. Mrs Chamberlain, wife of the British Prime Minister, was present, but Mr Chamberlain was detained at the House of Commons at the last minute. The heads of the Dominions and Colonial Offices. High Commissioners and Agents-Genera] were also present.
