Sunday dawned overcast and chilly with a light northerly breeze. At midday, a southerly change set in, a light shower tailing in the early evening. I IN OTHER CENTRES Christchurch: The weather was fine during the week-end after heavy frosts on both days, 14.8 degrees on Saturday and 11.4 degrees yesterday. Saturday was gloriously sunny but the sky was cloudy yesterday. There was little wind. The barometer rose steadily to 30.14 degrees. Geraldine: Conditions were bright and fine on Saturday, but dull in the late afternoon. Frost, 13 degrees. The weather was dull and overcast yesterday. Lake Tckapo: Tile sun shone on 25 days in June for a total of 109.5 hrs and a daily average of 3.6 hrs. .The sunshine for the year is 1143.1hr5, a daily average of 6.3 hrs. The rainfall for the month was 6.lOins on 10 days bringing the total for the year to 10.34in5. Waimate: 14.5 degrees of frost was experienced on Saturday morning and 1* degrees yesterday. Dunedin: Conditions were cold -id bleak on Saturday after a severe frosr,, the minimum temperature being 26 degrees. There was hazy cloud for the greater part of the day and tile thermometer fell from 30.25 inches to 29.95 inches. Rain fell yesterday morning and the sky remained overcast throughout the day, the temperature falling to 34 degrees. There was a j slight breeze from the south-west. The i barometer, after remaining steady | around 29.95 inches, rose later to 30.11 inches.
