ARMY APPOINTMENTS
CHANGES ANNOUNCED BY WAR OFFICE British Official Wireless (Received Rugby 10, 6.30 p.m.) RUGBY, July 8. The War Office announces the appointment of Major-General Franklyn from General Officer Commanding tn the Sudan, and Commandant z of the Sudan Defence Force, to be Commander of the Fifth Division vice-Mnjor-General G. C. Williams who is being appointed General Offlcei Commanding in the Chief Eastern Command, with effect from October 1938.
