MEXICAN EXPROPRIATION IN ORDER United Press Assor'-110n —By Electric Telegraph—Copyright (Received March 31, 5.5 p.m.) WASHINGTON. March 31. The United States Secretary of State (Mr Cordell Hull), has issued a statement formally recognising the legal right to expropriate foreign held property. but insisting that it must be accompanied by fair and equitable compensation. The United States representations to Mexico revolved round the question of proper payment. Mr Hull indicated that no pressure would be exerted on Mexico for the return of the expropriated properties.
