BRAZIL’S DEBTS TO BRITISHERS British Official Wireless (Received March 31, 6.30 p.ri.) RUC-IY, March 30. The Brazilian loan default was the subject of a question in the House of Commons, and the Under-Secretary for Foreign Affairs (M- R. A. Butler) replied that the British Ambassador at Rio de Janlero had been in constant touch not only with the representatives of the Council of the foreign bondholders. but with the Brazilian authorities. I* had not so far proved possible to obtain from the Brazilian Government a statement of its intentions but the House of Commons might rest assured that the British Government would not relax its efforts to obtain a satisfactory solution of the question.
