MINIATURE RIFLES
WEST END CLUB At the fourth annual meeting of the West End Miniature Rifle Club a fair number of members attended. The president, Mr A. B. Stoddart, before vacating the chair expressed thanks to all who had worked so willingly during the year. The club had experienced a very satisfactory season both socially and financially. The election of officers for 1938 resulted as follows: President, Mr A. B. Stoddart (re-elected); patrons, The Mayor, Mr J Chiles, Messrs T. Elder, E. G. Kerr, C. W. Heslop. A. Toynbee. A. Jones ..nd the Rev. Clyde Carr, M.P.; senior vice-president. Mr F. Wakefield; vice-presidents. Messrs T. Tozer, C. Lund, J. Norrie -nd N. Vivian; hon. secretary and treasurer, Mr J. Ewing; assistant secretary, Mr R. Tate; hon. auditor, Mr P. T. Knowles; club captain and range officer, Mr A. Meikle; vice-captain, Mr F. Dephoff; handicappers, Messrs A. J. Jackson and H. Currie; ammunition stewards. Messrs G. Co '.ins and D. Drennan; target checkers, Messrs F. Wakefield and R. Tate, coaches. Messrs Stoddart and Meikle; executive. Messrs Stoddart, Wakefield, Meikle, Tate, Dephoff. T. Currie. H. Currie, Drennan, Collins, Jackson, Ewing; delegates to the South Canterbury Miniature Rifle Association, Messrs A. B. Stoddart and F. Wakefield. It was decided that the opening shoot take place on April 12.
