BABY DROWNED
A BEACH TRAGEDY By Telegraph—Press Association WHANGAREI, January 10. George Wallace, the 14-months-old child of Mr and Mrs G. E. Housham, of Waihopo, was drowned on Saturday when the family was camping on the beach a few miles from Waihopo. While the family were packing up to go home, the child was found to be missing, and after a search was discovered face downwards in a tidal creek, in four inches of water. The Coroner returned a verdict of accidental death.
