NEW ZEALAND CHILLED BEEF United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright (Received January 6, 6.30 p.m.) LONDON, January 5. The High Commissioner for New Zealand (Mr W. j. Jordan) and many prominent traders inspected tiie New Zealand Meat Board display at Smithfield. There were eighteen entries, comprising thirty-six head of chilled beef from the Palmerston North Royal Show. All the entries were from North Island farms. The first and second prizes were won by R. W. Wall, and the third by W. G. Booth. The judges reported that this was the best chilled beef from the Dominions ever seen at Smithfield.
